PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

The Production Assistant reports directly to the SpeedPro Imaging studio owner and the Production Manager. Their will primarily be responsible for pre press and producing various wide-format specialty printing products. This position plays a critical role in the franchise’s profit and margin potential through outstanding performance in fast turn-around times, high-quality product output, and efficiency with materials to minimize waste.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

65% Printing and Production (including measuring, finishing and some installations)

15% Graphic Design

10% Inventory Management and Equipment Maintenance

10% Miscellaneous (i.e., studio upkeep and deliveries)

Core Functions:

Assist the printing and production of client orders
Inspect customer files, provide digital proofs and make the graphics print-ready
Operate and maintain large-format printers, laminators and plotters
Conduct inventory and procurement*

*The team can help with the actual ordering of materials, so long as you provide a list of what is needed

Secondary Functions:

Graphic design services (unless outsourced)
Unloading/unpacking deliveries to the studio
Packing, labeling and shipping completed jobs; making deliveries
Utilization of CoreBridge software for estimates/quotes

Other Required Skills:

Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and problem-solving skills
Team player who can accept constructive criticism
Focus on quality assurance (ensuring the finished product is 100% correct before it leaves the studio)
Superior time management focus in order to achieve efficiencies and meet strict deadlines
Customer-service oriented (this is the lifeblood of SpeedPro Imaging)
Excellent communication skills, both internally and with customers
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ideal candidates will also possess:

2+ years of designing/working with vehicle graphics and templates
Experience with large-format printers, laminators, plotters, and graphic and signage finishing
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design (or similar program)

Compensation and Benefits:

$26 per hour
