Overview This position will have responsibility for fulfilling customer orders of large (wide) format printed and fabricated products. The Associate will run production at the studio that includes setting up printers, running the printers, running the CNC cutter and performing finishing operations, including but not limited to; laminating, weeding, masking and trimming. In addition, the associate will also assist with sign and vinyl installation jobs at a customer’s location. The position will take direction from the Production Manager and Owner. They will work to delight the customer and meet the expected delivery schedule.
Duties:
· Run print production including on large format printers, laminators, CNC cutters and performing manual finishing operations.
· Assist with Print and Sign Installation including but not limited to; vehicle wraps, other surface wraps, window frosting and graphics, Rigid Signs, Wall Murals, cut decals, acrylics and other products sold by our company
· Review the product versus the order to ensure that the customer will be delighted with our services and meet customer deadlines.
· Enter status data in the production order system to track the production flow.
· Drive to pick up materials, deliver product or perform installation, typically using the company van but occasionally may need to use their own vehicle.
· Maintain printers through daily cleaning and preventative maintenance.
· Maintain good housekeeping in the production area. Follow all production Safety rules.
Qualifications
· At least 2 years’ experience working in large format printing and or signs.
· Good mechanical aptitude and experience in using hand or power tools.
· Speaks and reads English with good communication skills.
· Valid Driver’s license and daily use of a vehicle.
· Able to fulfill duties with minimal Supervision
· Able to lift and carry 50 lb. of materials without assistance.
· Must be able to work on their feet for an 8 hour work shift.
· Able to perform simple math functions to calculate material needs and installation placement.
· Basic knowledge of computers
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Comfortable working on ladders at heights of up to 16 feet or on powered lifts to 40 feet.
· Experience in vinyl installation such as vehicle decals, window or wall graphics is preferred but not required.
